About this outing
Beautiful West Lothian country park with a river gorge, woodland walks, wildflower meadows, and a visitor centre. The flat riverside path is excellent for pushchairs. Ranger-led events in summer.
20 miles west of Edinburgh. Free entry, free parking. Visitor centre (closed winter, check dates). Café open in summer. Excellent for bug hunts, pond dipping, and seasonal wildlife watching.
