Shadows on the Wall
Our view
“Shadow puppets are a brilliant way in for kids who would rather make than write. £15 for three hours drop-off in a museum is good value for the age group.”
About this outing
A three-hour drop-off workshop exploring character and storytelling without words or sounds, only shadows and light. Inspired by Scotland's landscape and folktales, kids learn about the museum's collection and then craft and tell a shadow puppet story of their own.
Morning session 9:30 to 12:30 (drop-off from 9:15 at the Tower Entrance). Afternoon session 13:30 to 16:30 (drop-off from 13:15 at the Learning Centre, Level 4). Children are dropped off without their grown-ups. All materials provided. Nut-free zone. Pairs with the Imagine That! workshop for a full day
