About this outing
100km of marked walking paths on the Pentland Hills just south of Edinburgh. Family-friendly routes from Flotterstone, Harlaw, and Bonaly visitor car parks. The Harlaw Woodland Walk (3km) is flat, wooded, and perfect for young children.
Multiple entry points — Harlaw (EH14 4HG) and Flotterstone (EH26 0PB) are the most family-friendly with toilets and parking. Sheep on the hills — dogs on leads. Some routes are muddy; wellies recommended year-round.
