“The Listies have a knack for pitching comedy at exactly the right level — children find it anarchic and hilarious, parents find it quietly cathartic given the subject matter. Note that there is audience participation, so if your child is wary of being called up, it's worth having a quiet word beforehand. Preview performances on 5–6 August are noticeably cheaper at £10.50, which is worth knowing if the budget is tight.”
About this outing
Australian duo The Listies have been a Fringe fixture since 2008, and this show takes on the chaos of the school-morning routine. Rich wants to leave the house on time; Matt has other ideas. The hour runs on slapstick, wordplay, improvised silliness, and something called the Snot Ness Monster — aimed squarely at kids aged 5 and up, with enough to keep the accompanying grown-ups genuinely laughing too. It won a 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Bestie Award for Best Kids Show.
